A Place To Belong
God created us for a purpose -- we're here on Earth to fulfill God's purpose.
You were not created to wander aimlessly for your few short years -- not at all. You were created to accomplish the purposes that God has given you.
- - Purposes of being an honorable wife or husband, an effective parent.
- - Purposes of performing with distinction and quality at your employment.
- - Purposes of being a friend and sharing life fully and richly with others.
Since before you were born God has had something in mind for you to do. Nothing about you is accidental -- your talents and abilities, your opportunities, and determination -- all of these are gifts given to you for fulfilling your purpose.
We all know that life is tough; life is . . . well, life is work. Sometimes it is hard work! Not much in life that is meaningful comes easily. The church is a place that helps us with the challenges, celebrates the victories and inspires us towards new opportunities. We're here because life's purposes are tough and because we need friends for the journey.
A Place to Have Friends
When you worship at Anchor of Hope Church you will meet someone from near your home. Whether you're from the South, North, East, West or the Midwest you will find someone who was once a neighbor.
You may be in a Kitsap on a short Navy tour or for a career or for a lifetime. You may be visiting family and friends. However you arrived, while you are here you will feel welcomed by the Anchor of Hope Church family. You will find:
- a submariner from the south
- a Marine from farm country
- a wife with two children from the West
- a widow and a widower
- a retired submariner from the Midwest.
In fact, because almost all of us are transplants, we make an extra effort to welcome our guests, for we all were guests not very long ago.
In other words, you will feel right at home with the church family.
